“John and I literally used to sit down and say, 'Now, let's write a swimming pool.”
- Paul McCartney
This was a common saying between John Lennon and Paul. The Beatles were already wealthy in 1964 when Paul McCartney and John Lennon sat down to "write a swimming pool," (to hammer out a new song.)
What are you seeing from this story?
There are several key points here:
- They were already wealthy
- They were producers (not consumers)
- Their wealth was not in their money or material things but in their ideas
2 Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
You and I are already wealthy and as such, there is a certain way we ought to think.
We do not work for riches,....... No, we work from riches.
We do not spend time thinking about money....... No, we spend time watering and nurturing the ideas our King placed in our heart, knowing that "He who began a good work in us is able to complete (perfect) it."
