The Table is SET….. Now it’s time to eat – Week 20 of 52

When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” – John 19:30

And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. – Revelation 16:17

Comment:

When you know something is set, even though there may be times you’re not experiencing it, you know you don’t have to discover it, you just have to grab a hold of, seize, unveil, etc.

  1. Provision is Set
  2. Protection is Set
  3. Healing is Set
  4. Prosperity is Set
  5. Soundness is Set

I never fully grasped the revelation of John 19:30 (“It is finished”) until I saw, Revelation 16:17 (“It is done …. aka, it’s a done deal”).

And so, I choose to eat from a set table. As Capital One would say, “What’s in your wallet?” I say,……”What’s on your table?”

I SET my heart, NOT my mind to search out God’s will – Week 19 of 52

Ecclesiastes 1:13 King James Version (KJV)

13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.

Comments:

It’s been said that as human beings, we utilize just 10% of our brain capacity. So to search out God’s will in my mind will be a losing proposition.

But, because He dwells in my heart, and eternity now dwells in my heart, “I give my heart to seek and search out, by wisdom, concerning all things that are done under heaven.”

So Lord, create in me a clean heart, and renew the right spirit within me.”

What do you see?

SET your intention to Show, NOT Tell your story – Week 18 of 52

Isiah 52:15  (KJV)

… the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

Comment:

More companies are discovering the hidden value of Story Telling. Seekers of capital infusion are realizing that in addition to a sound product and attractive financial projections, they must first and foremost, capture the heart of the investor.

But there is a higher dimension than “telling,n” and it’s “showing”

I can tell my spouse all day, “I love you,” but unless the tongue in my mouth and the tongue in my shoe are in alignment, there would be no wow and residual impact.

in this higher plain, not only do i shut my mouth, but my audience would, likewise, shut their mouth, “for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.”

So ask yourself this simple question, as you press pause to examine your effectiveness:  “Are you telling your story, or are you showing your story?”

SET your sight on Victory – Week 17 of 52

Exodus 14:13-16 The Message (MSG)

13 Moses spoke to the people: “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today. Take a good look at the Egyptians today for you’re never going to see them again.

14 God will fight the battle for you.
And you? You keep your mouths shut!”

Comment:

Experts have claimed that the number one impeding force to humanity is fear. They also claim that this fear manifests itself in the form of stress.

I wholeheartedly agree with this, but fear is not the root to the “freezing” impact.

What is it?

It’s condemnation….. Condemnation from man, and condemnation from self. The same sound as Moses is resonating today: “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today.”

No matter what my natural eye may see, I choose to see with my inner eye of possibilities. I will shut my mouth from opening the door of condemnation and releasing fear.

Would you?

Our Course is SET – Week 16 of 52

Psalm 119 The Message (MSG)

119 1-8 You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by GodYou’re blessed when you follow His directions,
doing your best to find Him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road He set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now You expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course You set; Then I’d never have any regrets
    in comparing my life with Your counsel. I thank You for speaking straight from Your heart;

While I appreciate the great business books and subject matter experts out here, let’s not confuse the wind from the sails..

Our “sails” are set by Him.

As you read this message, do you find yourself setting your course or speaking to the wind, “peace be still.”

God’s desire is SET in our hearts

2 Corinthians 4:6 King James Version (KJV) – Week 15 of 52

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

From the beginning, God’s desire has been for man to express His nature from his/her heart, no matter the domain (business, sports, government, education, clergy, etc.)

While college prepares you to be a practitioner, a skilled craftsman, God desire is for us to walk in “integrity of heart, and skillfulness of hand” – Psalms 78:72

We may get a job with impressive skills, but it’s our leadership Character that will provide sustainability. That leadership character is in our heart.

My encouragement to you today is to not be defined by success. You are bigger than success. Even in the midst of “failure” God’s character is being chiseled into you.

Values SETs Desire…. Desire SETs Belief – Week 14 of 52

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Matthew 11:24

If you are like me, you may have read this verse of scripture 1000s of times and never noticed the jewels that are resident in it.

Pray is a dialogue. It is the language of exchange between God and man (the earthly and heavenly realm). As God responds, instructions and commands are given to establish values.

These divinely appointed values shapes our desires and it is our desires which shapes our beliefs.

So if we are attempting to alter our belief systems, we have to look beyond behavior and beliefs. We MUST look below the proverbial iceberg unto our values.

What’s in your values?

SET my path for the day – Week 13 of 52

“Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; for when Your judgments are within the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” – Isaiah 26:9

I used to think that setting my day, ordering my steps, was just for my benefit.

After all, the songwriter did say, “Order my steps in your Word, there Lord. Lead me, guide me, every day….. send your anointing Father I pray, please order my steps in your Word.”

Before I go any further, I just want to clarify that I am not “knocking” this song. What I am sharing is this song shares a part of the truth. The other part is that, as the Father order our steps, brings judgement within our earthen vessels, the inhabitants of the world will see, believe, and learn righteousness.

It’s a ripple effect strategy.

This has forever removed any anxiety I may sense prior to giving a speech (whether to 1 or to 10,000.)  Before I was concerned about how the delivery of my message will land. Now I am thankful for the landing of God’s revelation within my “earth,” being confident that He who begun that work in me is able to complete it  among those that are in the world.

Down but not out – Week 12 of 52

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Acts 4:11

12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. Mark 9:12

When God SET’s you, it doesn’t matter what it looks like on the surface. It may look like you are set at naught (set at the Zero Mark) ONLY if you are comparing yourself to someone else.

When God sets you there is no other fingerprint like yours on the planet.

Like Bamboo, which may show little to no growth in the first few years, (where it may seem like you are down for the count,) your growth has a set time (because you are set and marked by God) and it will have a sudden growth.

Teach us to SET (order) our days – Week 11 of 52

41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. Mark 6

If I keep my eyes on the size of what’s in my hands, I will forever be discouraged, discontented and at the extreme, depressed.

Five loaves and two fish, my seem small in the scheme of things, but we MUST always remember, in the midst of our “little thing” we are partnered with a BIG God.

We have been given authority to bless the “little thing” in our hand by speaking words of life over it.

It was intended for us to singularly execute the assignment that is upon our life. There are “disciples” that are in position to help us (many of whom we have never met).

Last but not least, it is important to not that our role is more so to facilitate than to execute. This facilitation requires order, knowing and staking your claim in your lane (not trying to be a COI – Chief of Everything).
