Set apart for Him – Week 28 of 52

1 Thessalonians 5:23-25 New Life Version (NLV)

23 May the God of peace SET you apart for Himself. May every part of you be set apart for God. May your spirit and your soul and your body be kept complete. May you be without blame when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 24 The One Who called you is faithful and will do what He promised.

Comment:

Have you ever felt like every door you attempted to walk in becomes shot all of a sudden or or every person who said they were going to collaborate with you suddenly disappears? These may not be the work of the other individuals. These may be divinely appointed shut doors.

God has set us apart for Himself. He wants every part of us (spirit, soul, and body.)

He wants us to lean into him, to trust Him with all our heart (Proverbs 3:5).

I truly believe that God wants us to live by the mantra: Trust God for everything; rely on man for nothing, but be grateful to man for every kind gesture.

Set your words on Edification – Week 27 of 52

Isaiah 50:4

The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of [a]them that are taught, that I may know how [b]to sustain with words him that is weary:

=================================================

Comment:

This has to be one of the most powerful text I have read in the Bible.

I once heard Pastor Charles Stanley say, “when you find yourself Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired, just scream out HALT. It should stop you in your tracks.” In other words, when you find yourself weary, shout out, HALT. There are countless times I have applied those words of wisdom.

But what if it is the other person who is weary. What is they are coming to you with guns blazing, from a place of weariness.

Isaiah, makes it, clear, even in situations like we must recognize that it’s not about us. We’ve got to look past the person and see the problem (weariness). Once we do that, we then speak a word that can strengthen and support the other person physically and emotionally.

Set your eyes on the Target – Week 26 of 52

Matthew 6:22

22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Concept:

It’s been said that if you examine blood to its infinitesimal level, you will find the same atomic structure as light.

Life is in the blood. And so my life and everything that is birth through me, that is outside of me, is only sustained from the alignment with the sound of my spirit.

This way of living is contrary to what we have been taught (to speak to our current reality (aka facts)) when in fact, it ought to be the reverse (our current reality should echo our true identity.

The following three references supports this week’s message:

  1. “whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world (system) I John 5:4 and
  2. “It is written: “I believed, therefore I have spoken.” 2 Corinthians 4:13
  3.  “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God Hebrews 11:3

So my current reality is framed not by what I know, but by what I believe.

And because my eye is singularly focused on the Jesus, the Christ within me, everything I say, do, believe, birth shall be full of life.

SET to be ARAYOFLIGHT to the nations – Week 23 of 52

Acts 13:47 King James Version (KJV)

47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

Comment:

I’ve come to realize that whenever the Lord uses the word, “SET” it is not a suggestion, but a command.

It is a command to be what we were created to be, ….. a ray of light to the nations.

I don’t know about you but I do not just want to receive this as information or revelation, but I want to witness the manifestation and demonstration of it’s reality. The manifestation shows up in my words, the demonstration shows up in the power of my lifestyle.

Is A Ray of Light showing up wherever you appear?

SET your sight on Victory – Week 17 of 52

Exodus 14:13-16 The Message (MSG)

13 Moses spoke to the people: “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today. Take a good look at the Egyptians today for you’re never going to see them again.

14 God will fight the battle for you.
And you? You keep your mouths shut!”

Comment:

Experts have claimed that the number one impeding force to humanity is fear. They also claim that this fear manifests itself in the form of stress.

I wholeheartedly agree with this, but fear is not the root to the “freezing” impact.

What is it?

It’s condemnation….. Condemnation from man, and condemnation from self. The same sound as Moses is resonating today: “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today.”

No matter what my natural eye may see, I choose to see with my inner eye of possibilities. I will shut my mouth from opening the door of condemnation and releasing fear.

Would you?
